ROAD PROJECT HANDOVER: FCDA COMMENDS INDUSTRY POWERHOUSE, INTERGLOBAL CONSTRUCTION LTD, FOR EXCEPTIONAL WORK AT THE OLD FEDERAL SECRETARIAT, AREA 1, ABUJA.
One year after the completion of the Area 1 Road Construction and Rehabilitation Project at the Old Federal Secretariat in Area 1, Garki, Abuja, the Federal Capital Development Authority (FCDA) has officially conducted a final handing over inspection, praising the quality of work executed by Interglobal Construction Ltd.
The final inspection ceremony brought together a high-delegation from the FCDA, led by Engineer Solomon, who served as Chairman and Team Leader, alongside twelve officials from various departments. From the Engineering Service Department were Engineer Stephen Uchenna Eze Okafor, Engineer Etuwa, Debora, Nasiru Salihu, Engineer Chinyere Ozor, and Engineer Kasim. The Facility Maintenance Department was represented by Khalid Umar Faruk and Gadafar, while Engineer Luke attended from the Logistics Department. Musa Bitrus represented the CIS Regional division, and Barrister Ikenna Nwachukwu attended from the Procurement Department. The Interglobal team was represented by the CEO Mr. Colm Doyle and the project engineer, Engineer Stanley Onyeleke
During the comprehensive inspection and review of the completed road project, which was executed as an emergency intervention, the FCDA team expressed satisfaction with the overall standard of work delivered by the construction firm.
Engineer Solomon, in his capacity as Chairman, particularly commended the quality of finishing, describing Interglobal’s standard of work as impressive and noting the high quality achieved despite the project’s emergency nature.
Speaking at the handover ceremony, CEO Mr. Colm Doyle expressed gratitude to the FCDA team for their support and cooperation throughout the project’s duration. He emphasized the cordial working relationship that had been established and requested continued collaboration between Interglobal Construction and the FCDA on future projects.
The Area 1 Road Construction and Rehabilitation Project represents one of several infrastructure improvement initiatives undertaken by the FCDA to enhance the road network within the Federal Capital Territory, particularly around strategic government installations such as the Old Federal Secretariat complex in Area 1, Garki Abuja.
