PHASE 1: PROJECT REPORT
CONSTRUCTION OF NEW ROAD
To ease traffic congestion and strengthen connectivity to the Old Federal Secretariat, this phase involves the creation of a brand-new roadway built to enhance traffic flow and withstand heavy usage.
Key Construction Processes
Completed:
- Site Clearing– Initial removal of trees, stumps, and debris to prepare the area for construction.
- Grading to Formation Level – Cutting and grading to create a stable foundation for the roadway.
- Drainage & Culvert Construction – Installation of effective drainage systems to mitigate flooding risks and enhance road longevity.
- Laying the Sub Base & Stone Base – Reinforcement of the roadbed using durable materials for stability and durability.
- Priming & Blinding – Preparing the surface for asphalt application by sealing and reinforcing the layers.
- Sweeping Off Blinded Areas – Clearing dust and debris for a smooth, high-quality finish.
- Laying the Binder Course – Applying the first layer of asphalt for structural integrity and traffic resistance.
- Laying the Wearing Course – The final asphalt layer, ensuring a smooth and durable driving surface for daily use.
